Former President Jimmy Carter said the National Security Agency's invasion of privacy has gone too far, "America does not have a functioning democracy at this point in time." (Source: The New American, July 20, 2013, http://www.thenew american.com/usnews/constitution/item/16043-jimmy-carter- defends-snowden-says-u-s-has-no-functioning-democracy

The National Security Agency (NSA) is collecting and monitoring EVERY person's (in this Country) emails, instant messages, phone records and phone locations, website visits, credit card transactions and Internet usage including Google and Facebook. (Source: The Sacramento Bee, June 11, 2013, http://www.sacbee.com/2013/06/11/5486626/nsa-phone- tracking-is-far-more.html

The "NSA admitted listening to U.S. phone calls without warrants. National Security Agency disclosed, in a secret Capitol Hill briefing, that thousands of analysts can listen to domestic phone calls. That authorization appears to extend to e-mail and text messages too." (Source: CNET News, June 15, 2013, http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-57589 495-38/nsa-admits-listening-to-u.s-phone-calls-without- warrants/

There is another important revelation on this surveillance. "The Mail Isolation Control and Tracking program, in which Postal Service computers photograph the exterior of every piece of paper mail that is processed in the United States - about 160 billion pieces last year." (Source: New York Times, July 4, 2013, http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/04/us/ monitoring-of-snail-mail.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

A CBS News Poll, June 12, 2013, conducted of Americans "found that 58 percent of the Country views the recently exposed practices of the National Security Agency negatively, while only 38 percent are in favor of it." A Gallup Poll, June 13, 2013, found that 53% of Americans "disagree with federal efforts to compile telephone call logs and Internet communications, while 37% saying they approve."

A Fox News Poll, June 13, 2013, found that 62% of American voters say, "the government secretly collecting the phone records of millions of Americans is an 'unacceptable and alarming invasion of privacy rights,' while 32% think it's an 'acceptable government action to help prevent terrorism.'"

The Federal Government's Orwellian actions are not just unconstitutional but this information may have already been or will be hacked into to retrieve information on ANY person in this Country. We can be sure that the National Security Agency (NSA) will NOT tell the American People if this information has been hacked into nor will they tell us if this information is hacked into in the future.

If the vast amount of information being collected and monitored is for National Security purposes then why is the Southern Border with Mexico not closed and secure? The fact is we don't know. Historically what we do know is that in Nazi Germany, before people could even imagine that there would be Concentration Camps, there was a collection of information on EVERY person's background and religion. That information was subsequently used to decide who would be sent to Concentration Camps and be exterminated.

We believe that these unconstitutional and Orwellian actions by the Federal Government must be STOPPED. There should be a National Advisory Referendum on this issue. Only the collective wisdom of the American People can STOP these actions and restore our Constitutional Rights.

At the same time we believe that EVERY person should have the right, upon producing a written Certified, Notarized and Verified Affidavit, to receive a copy of ALL the information that the National Security Agency (NSA), the Federal Government, has on that person.

The Patriot Act provides for a $10,000 penalty for the violation of a person's Civil Rights. This action can be brought individually, or in a Class-action Lawsuit, against the Company that has violated the person's Civil Rights. (Source: Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, author of the Patriot Act, on the Sean Hannity Radio Show, June 13, 2013.)

Listed below are the Political Candidates that agree to the following statement:

"We strongly support a National Advisory Referendum on whether the National Security Agency (NSA), the Federal Government, has the right to collect and monitor EVERY person's (in this Country) emails, instant messages, phone records and phone locations, website visits, credit card transactions and Internet usage including Google and Facebook."

"We also strongly support that EVERY person should have the right, upon producing a written Certified, Notarized and Verified Affidavit, to receive a copy of ALL the information that the National Security Agency (NSA), the Federal Government, has on that person."
