The Coalition for National Referendum has received an overwhelming number of written suggestions, emails and calls requesting that we add a Question on New Hampshire having a State owned and operated casino. The profit from this casino would be more than sufficient to make the statewide property tax unnecessary. Information on this Question According to the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration the statewide property tax will raise $466 million this year. A New Hampshire state owned and operated casino would allow ALL the profits from the casino to go directly to New Hampshire. The profits from the casino would exceed $466 million that New Hampshire will receive from the statewide property tax. The Question on this issue states that all the profits from the casino would go directly to education, therefore ENDING the statewide property tax. It is also recommended that the citizens of Town(s) in
which a New Hampshire state owned and operated casino would be
located should directly decide by a Referendum whether they wanted
a casino in their Town(s).
